No, you cannot work for us if you are under 18 years old due to Health and Safety requirements.

Do I have to pay to come and work at Woodfields Fruit Ltd?
No, Woodfields Fruit Ltd do NOT charge any fees for you to come and work on the farm. You will be required to cover the cost of your travel (flights etc.), but you should NOT have to pay anyone any money, either in your home country, or once you get to the UK, to find you work.

Do I need a visa to work on the farm?
You MUST have the legal right to work in the UK in order to work at Woodfields farm, you must be a UK national, or have settled or pre-settled status under the EUSS, or have a valid work visa. If in doubt please contact us directly on administrator@bhsavidge.co.uk and we can help you with your individual needs.

How will I know if my application is successful?
You will receive an email if you application has been successful, so please make sure you enter a correct and valid email address on your application form. The email will also inform you of your farm start date.

Do I need to speak English?
No, we do not require you to speak English. We have translators at the farm to help you if needed.

Is there a shop on site?
Currently no we do not have a shop on site, however we do provide weekly transport, free of charge, to take you to the local supermarket. There are other means of public transport that you can utilise to go further afield if you wish.

Will I get a day off?
Yes, we aim to give you at least one day off a week to relax.

Am I allowed my car at Woodfields farm?
No, you are not allowed to bring your car to Woodfields Farm. We provide you with 1 free trip to Ross-On-Wye every week for shopping. There is a bus stop just a 5-minute walk from the farm that will take you into Ross-On-Wye or to Gloucester. There are also lots of taxi services available to use.

What hours will I have to work?
Depending on the stage of the season, you will be required to work a five- or six-day week, between 8 to 12 hours a day.

What will I be paid?
You will be paid at least the UK National Living Wage.
The harvest of our crops is paid on a piece work basis - you'll be paid a minimum of NLW but have the opportunity to earn way more. The more you pick the more you earn!
You are paid weekly and MUST have an active email address wo we can send you a weekly payslip.

Will I receive any training?
You will be inducted on arrival and provided with all picking equipment by our Camp Welfare & HR Manager. Health and Safety rules will be discussed, as well as how to be successful within your job at the farm.
You will also receive a presentation on how to pick at Woodfields Farm by one of the Harvest team.

Do I need a UK Bank Account and National Insurance Number?
No, we will help you set up a pre-paid card once you arrive, which is where you will be paid into. Everything about your card will be explained in your induction. If you already have a UK bank account, please bring all the information with you to the induction training.
You do not need a National Insurance Number. We will help you get one once you arrive. If you already have one, please bring it with you.

What do I need to bring with me?
- Towel and wash bag
- Items to make your caravan / bedroom feel homely
- Bedding
- Cooking utensils
- Passport (and visa if applicable)
- Money (recommend a minimum of £100)
- Insurance documents
- Next of kin details
- Driving licence (including CPC if driving a minibus)
- Other certificates / licences (e.g. forklift, first aid)
- Suitable clothing and footwear (wet weather, hot weather, sturdy footwear)
- Laptops *valuables are your own responsibility*

How do I travel to the farm?
The nearest airports are Birmingham (1 hour), Bristol (1 hour), London Luton (3 hours) and London Stanstead (4 hours).
The nearest train stations are Hereford (40 minutes) and Gloucester (40 minutes). Both train stations have buses that run to Ross-On-Wye.
There is a National Express coach that comes to Ross-On-Wye, which leaves from London Victoria Coach Station. You can book the coach here www.nationalexpress.com
You can get a taxi from Ross-On-Wye to Woodfields Farm, which should cost between £5-£10.

What facilities are available at the farm?
We have WiFi, a laundry room and football pitch for you to use.
Socialising is encouraged and many staff members socialise with others in their mobile homes, listen to music and cook meals together.
Loud music MUST be turned down at 10pm to respect other camp members.

When do I need to arrive?
Your arrival date will be confirmed with you via email. If you need to alter your arrival date, please speak to our Camp Welfare & HR Manager to arrange a new date (administrator@bhsavidge.co.uk).
You must arrive within our farm arrival times, which are:
